Nick Markakis pleading his case for a Gold Glove...

Of course since this wasn't a catch made by Derek Jeter, it's getting no play on ESPN, but this is easily the best catch that I've ever seen.

It was the number 2 web gem of the week behind only Grady Sizemore's rediculous over-the-shoulder diving catch. Seems like it's getting it's fair share of attention on ESPN to me...

It was a really good catch but I didn't think it was anything really special.

You're also not an Orioles fan.

Pretty good catch, Sizemore's catch was better though.

It was on ESPN this morning. They showed it during the highlights for the O's game and then again on top plays.

Also I know your an O's fan but that catch is no where near greatest catch of all time, hell Sizemore's catch the other day was better.

Sizemore's catch was the greatest catch i have seen watching it as it happened. And Im a Tigers fan, so it pains me to say that, but that was the best IMO.

Nice catch, but very far from being the best I've seen.

After that inflated introduction of 'best I've ever seen', that was quite a letdown.

He's a young Baltimore fan... he hasn't seen many catches, period.

as an "older" O's fan... that's still a damn good catch.

It's a nice catch, but you have to agree it's nowhere near the best catches of all time.

eh, i don't think the OP made the claim "best of all time" but rather the "best [he's]<he has=""> ever seen". but regardless, great catch.</he>

IMO, there was nothing too spectacular about that catch, except the fact that he had no regard for his own health in running into and flipping over the wall. It didn't necessarily take any timing leap, or any leap whatsoever.

I don't want to take anything away from him, just that I've seen better catches even this week.

Nice catch but not better then Mike Deveraux's catch when he robbed Joe Carter in the early 90's
