I saw this on another board and thought it'd be neat to try here. I used the baseball almanac site to get the info.

Anyways August 26th 1979 the lowly Blue Jays took on the eventual West division champion Angels and won 9-3. Not only did they beat the Angels but they beat Nolan Ryan!

The Reds were finished on Oct. 29, 1976. I was born 8 days after the Reds beat the Yankees on Oct. 21, 1976, for a 4-game sweep in the World Series.

I was born in 88, so thankfully I was too young to really watch the late 80's-early 90's Yankees.

the day after the Yankees beat the White Sox 7-5 though.
