Fans from Tampa actually did this as well last year. It will get talked about in the baseball community.

It will be nothing more than a flavor of the week type of thing. Sure, people will talk about it for a couple of days, but then it dies out like those "Baron Davis is the best PG" type of threads that's been going on in the NBA forums during the playoffs.

At least you guys stepped up and drafted wieters this year, thanks to us being too cheap and passing on him.

As for Cuban, please pirates fans stop discussing it. He has had his chance to buy the Penguins and the Pirates and he hasn't done a thing.

He is all talk and he loves to get pub when he comes back to the burgh.

If he was serious about doing it, it would have happened already. We need to let it go.

We may someday get rid of the Nuttings as owners, but it probably won't be Cuban buying if we do.

Yep. Not to mention that these owners aren't going to sell. Why would they when they can spend bottom dollar and make a nice profit?

What a waste this was. I watched the game and Fox Sports showed the stadium before and after the "walkout". Maybe 500 people walked out. 500 might even be stretching it.

Yeah, this probably wont even make page 10 of the sports section, huh?

I feel for you Pirates fans.

Yeah 500 is probably stretching it. Seemed to me it was around 300 or so, really no one left at all. Not even everyone wearing the "I support the 3rd inning walkout" walked out.

The amazing thing is that there were 500 people at the game in the first place. I kid, I kid. You should see some of the crowds in Cincy when the Nats or another crappy team is in town. Hell, the attendance at the series against the Angels when they were in town in the middle of a week was pathetic. It's been said before but if you really want to protest, just start a massive movement to not attend the games in the first place. Yeah, the walkout would be noticeable if there were enough people doing it, but just not going hurts the ownership more due to lost dollars from customers.
