    Ootp5 revisted.

Is the game like you control a team (manage i should say) with computers controlling the others or is some world wide thing?

What you guys told me about the game is something similar that i do at home when baseball seasons over.

    Please answer my question.

    Re: Ootp5 revisted.

I'll answer the best I can:

Leagues can be run by just you, where you can control as many teams as you would like. Given how immersive the game is, I'm not sure controlling more than one team is wise, but regardless, it can be just you with the CPU AI running the rest.

In addition, there ARE internet leagues where all the other GM's are other people. I have played this way so I cannot really comment on it, but the OOTP following is very loyal and very enthusiastic.

OOTP is ot for the timid. If you understand that K to BB ratios can predict a pitcher's value and understand WHIP, OPS, and other sabermetric stats, it is for you.

IF you don't, that's okay. But a large part of the games charm may be lost on you. OOTP may as well be called "GM Simulator 2003."

It rocks, if you're into that kind of thing (which I am).

Well, with both the HH and the OOTP community, there is a little bit of elitism that is practiced.

If you don't "ask" questions the right way, they'll be ignored. Try out httP;//www.ootp4.com for Out of the Parks website. Read the FAQ, online guide, visit the boards, stuff like that.

            It's a great game.

Here is the link to their official boards. I bought OOTP4 last year and if you are a fan of text based sims like Front Office Football, I'd recommend picking up OOTP5.
