    Music in baseball

Since some of the baseball games have music for players as they come to the plate this year I think it would be cool if maybe next year they play music when the closers come into the game. Being an Astros fan there is nothing like that rush I get when I'm at the game and I hear "Enter Sandman" play as Wagner comes in from the bullpen.

Let me know what you think of this idea, or even let us know what song is played when your teams closer comes out.

I too think it would be super cool to have signature music playing for individual players. Unfortunately I believe there are copywrite issues blocking this scenerio. It would be impossible to get the copywrite of every artist that a player plays. What would be cool is if, I know on the Xbox you can burn music to your game, each player had a player edit where you could burn a song which would play each time they batted. That would be awsome, because players change there music all the time anyways.

I would prefer them to Accurately depict each players pitching motions, batting stances and swings before they work on there music. Seems like the only game that actually got this all right was WSB 2k1 and Homerun King.

i agree that the copyright issues will block authentic music from actually being put inside the games... but you never know. if the developers etc. are willing to spend money for the music, then that would be a plus and certainly would make some gamers happy. then again, i would prefer to have the gameplay, mechanics, motions, etc. accurately depicted and programmed before even worrying about the music.

Actually part of it is already being done with Raw 2 on the Xbox. It is going to allow you to import songs for entrance music. So realistically it could be possible and should be possible at the latest next year. I think it would be excellent to be able to edit your track and import it for walk-ups and such.

Been doing that for 2 years now with High Heat on the PC through (Danger Z's) 3rd party editor. Changes and improves the atmosphere quite a bit when you get to hear what you want.

This is the one awesome thing that i have heard about high heat pc. Once you get all of the patches and the user edits that you can do, the game is unbelievably accurate.

Too bad these options aren't available for consoles and that the graphics are sub-par.

I'd love to be able to use the songs on my Xbox's hard drive as intro music. My little brother did it for his made up character in his wrestling game, and its pretty sweet.
