I was just wondering if their is a place I can get this game for free or somethign just to hold me off until the new games come out? I know its not right..but its either I get it for free or I search all over the internet and go through all the trouble of getting it delivered to me for like 10$

Baseball Pro 98 should never be played for free. As great as a game it is you owe yourself the $10 on ebay to get one. And dont get the football pro/baseball pro combo as it dosent include the THICK A.S.S. manual...

Alright calm down... I thought it was for rosters only...

Don't get so uptight so quickly.

I played that game for a year or two. I'd play it some more, but my CD's scratched and won't install. I really liked the customization and GM abilities, but the painfully slow simulation speed really hampered my enjoyment of the game. The graphics were mediocre even for the time it was released. The stats generated by the simulation were pretty realistic; no other game was anywhere close. I played a lot of Hardball 3 (with the player and stadium add-ons, of course) and it had some bad simulation problems...way too many doubles, a lot of people would never hit any HRs, too few walks, too many strikeouts, BAs too low, and of course the simulation was terribly slow. It did show the inning-by-inning progression in the box score, but 45 minutes for a simulated week is too long.

FPS:BB also had another thing that many other baseball games (including WSB) don't have--players would age on their birthdays instead of everyone getting a year older on Opening Day. Gotta appreciate that kind of attention to detail.
