    Tigers utility player Neifi Perez gets a 25-game ban for testing positive for a banned stimulant...


    too bad it didn't help him at the plate..

                          This is probably the end of the line For Neifi in Detroit. Perez had a terrible spring which led to Jim Leyland basically begging management to keep him on the roster (why? i don't know) and has had a terrible season so far. I will be surprised if Perez is still a Tiger when his suspension is over.

                                          Why did the Tigers take him from the Cubs? I think the Cubs management was happy to get someone with a pulse for that guy.

                                              Because Placido Polanco seperated his shoulder and the Tigers needed someone to help at 2B for the month and a half that Polanco was out.

                                              The better question would be why did the Tigers keep him?.
