    Official Bronx is Burning Thread

Good start to the show so far... good casting as well... Be interesting to see if it can hold my interest for 8 weeks though.

How the heck did they make John T so short, that is amazing. Also, George is the man. I wish we had a owner like that

      I'm watching it.

I expect it to flop, but as a Yankee fan I'm interested.

Sounds like the first episode was pretty good. I've seen some extended clips and even if it flops i'm going to buy the DVD set.

Also for Yankees fans MLB has released a deluxe World Series set for the '77 series with the full telecast of every game plus a 7th disc with the last game of the ALCS from that year.

It was better than I expected, but I wouldn't be surprised if non-Yankee fans weren't interested.

It was kinda odd w. the random .44 killer scene every 10 minutes or so. I know they're trying to capture the feeling of the summer of '77 in NYC, but the continuity seemed a little off.

Overall it was a good debut, I'm sure I'll watch it every week.

I thought it was pretty good. Especially the scene in the training room after they were swept by the Reds. That was typical Steinbrenner.

Yea, that, and him freaking out over a spring training loss to the Mets.

the book this is based on is about all the things that happened during the summer of 77. In reality only about 1/3 of the book is even about the yankees.

I know that. In the show they really need to work on their segues though.

Loving it so far! Enjoying the cheeziness - Like Giambi's cameo.

Also Steinbrenner: "I don't understand this. You're supposed to ride the bus." LOL

Last night's ep was pretty damn good! This show is growing on me, I love the old, real clips they show from ABC, etc. The MNB last night w. Cosell and Keith Jackson was awesome.

Good episode, but not enough Steinbrenner.
