And nowadays, we only get around 330-420ft homeruns (usually). That's a pretty damn good feat by Mickey Mantle. I wonder if they ever found the ball, and if they did, was it even still a ball. -

Yea, i hear ya R3W! Those balls back then was pretty damn soft, Can ya imagine what Mantle and the dead ball era would do to the modern day ball....I'd say prolly 700 to maybe750 ft Moon shots!!!

no the farthest homerun ever hit went over a mile....yeah that is 5,000+ feet...someone hit it into a passing train...the train took it a long ways away
