No, it doesn't. I'm almost certain we made it so that fielders can't use it to catch line drives like the one here. It was a last-minute change so it wouldn't be in the build the screenshot is from.
The ball looks big because it's much closer to the camera than it may seem. Look at the shadow.Comment

The catches in ASB bugged the f out of me. 50% of the catches in the outfield were over the shoulder Willie Mayes catches.
Even guys like Carlos Lee were pulling them off.
Then I saw one of the 04 ASB videos and it looked like that hadn't changed.
I have high hopes for ASB, but along with MVP it's a "wait and see." HH and WSB are "buys."
