    Peter/Steve-roster editing question

    Guys,

I looked in the preview section but could not find the info...which of the new games allows for roster editing? I ask because I want to do what I did on HH PC last year and create alot of oldtime teams like the 61 Yanks, 69 Mets, 70 Orioles, 65 Dodgers, 67 Red Sox, etc.

I don't mind overwriting current rosters if that is an issue. I like playing with the oldtime teams better anyway.

Do you guys know which games allow for roster editing and saving to a new filename, or just overwriting the default rosters?

    Chris

WSB 2K3 will allow you to edit any player in the game. You can edit pretty much everything. Name, attributes, the way the player looks, his stance etc. just like the create a player feature in the game.

And yes you can save that to a file. I'm pretty sure there will be an option to save rosters seperately. Maybe Fatpitcher can clarify this for us.

That's pretty much right. You can also load rosters from regular save games as well as roster files.

        The caveats:

        - There's a save game limit of 25 per storage location, like last year
        - there's no functionality in Edit Rosters to set lineups and rotations for each team. To do this, you need to load your custom roster, head into Season mode, take control of all the teams, set everything, then export the roster again.
        - there's a limit of 25 created players, which are different from edited players only in that you can change their head types.
        - not sure if career stats are cleared when importing/exporting rosters. Could be undesirable either way.
