as a brewer fan, first off id like to say i understand they are probably going to suck this year but i think they can turn it around in the next few years. i like ulice payne bein the president and i love his attitude. hes not bs'ing the fans, he knows the team is gonna suck.doug melvin i think can bring in better players and in '04 the brewers r gonna have a good amount of money to go out and spend and hes brining in guys who wont be cancer's nad will make for a good clubhouse and finally, ned yost a guy who was in atlanta on bobby cox's staff and is a guy who is happy to be the manager of the brewers. i know u will probably think im crazy but i have faith in the brewers to start turning it around

Part of me roots for the Brew Crew (I'm a Phils fan). I played in their farm system for 7 years and still have friends in the organization. I visited them in Philadelphia last year and they were pathetic. The head trainer, Roger Caplinger, is a friend of mine and he told me Royster had no idea last year. Behind the scenes he had no clue whatsoever. Cecil Cooper screwed that organization up beyond belief as minor league coordinator. Melvin will do a good job as GM. I hope Geoff Jenkins has a great year. I almost cried when he dislocated his ankle last season. I came up with him and he has had a string of bad injuries slow his progress. Quality guy.Comment

The Pads are gonna be tough soon.They are gonna have a great pitching staff with Oliver Perez,Jake Peavy,Adam Eaton,Dennis Tankersley,Ben Howard,Brian Lawrence,Justin Germano,Mark Phillips,Eric Cyr,and Trevor Hoffman.
Should have a good lineup with Ryan Klesko,Phil Nevin,Khali Greene,Mark Kotsay,Xavier Nady,Tagg Bozied,Ramon Vazquez,Ben Johnson,Jake Gereautru(sp?),and Wiki Gonzalez.

I don't remember Doug Melvin doing great things with TEX, but I sure hope he does well with the Brewers. I like the Brewers a lot...Padres, too actually. Bruce Bochy's kind of my hero, in a way.
