you mean when they only won one game in two series? He got them winning, but not WINNING. I still remember that Dean Palmer error. Killer. Personally, I don't think making the playoffs is that hard...if you have the budget. For example, I can't believe the Dodgers haven't found their way back there yet. But Melvin will be better than Taylor.

I don't remember Doug Melvin doing great things with TEX, but I sure hope he does well with the Brewers. I like the Brewers a lot...Padres, too actually. Bruce Bochy's kind of my hero, in a way. Pads will be good if they can hang on to the players...Joe Carter, Roberto Alomar, Kevin Brown, Fred McGriff, etc. etc. etc.

Yep, hopefully the Pads won't trade B-Law before the trading deadline (something i've been hearing about recently) and Kotsay. And if Moore's would allow them to increase the payroll so that the team may keep people.Comment

Re: Go BREWERS!!!!!!!!!!
You know, Rag3, I remember reading somewhere that Moores was one of the worst owner in baseball. I also heard that he was loaded (obivously, he's loaded) and he's got all sorts of money he pretends he doesn't. In other words, he may be twice as loaded as he lets on..In short, he doesn't care about the Pads, and he could afford to do whatever he wanted with them if he chose to. I can't remember where I saw this, and it's probably common knowledge, but I always thought the Pads had no money until I read that article. I can only reach one conclusion: Moores is an ***.Comment

Yep, i can agree with your comment on Moore's, I hope he starts putting more money to the payroll when the Padres go to their new ball park. Not to mention that the money that the fans pay should go to the Padres, not to him.Comment
