Should I be concerned? Or am I overreacting?...

I'm getting High Heat 2004 for the Xbox(as well as WSB2K3}. I couldn't be more excited about High Heat coming to the Xbox. However, I am worried about High Heat making a smooth transition on to a new console. High Heat has been exclusive to the PC and PS2 for a while now. Now with the Xbox version getting delayed(ever so slighty) I'm just a bit worried, that's all. I just hope there isn't anything like crashing, slowdown, etc. I know I'm probably worried over nothing and the game will turn out fine. It's just something that's had me a bit concerned, that's all. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't worry a bit. I get the feeling the delay has something to do with XBOX Live roster updates. I'm very excited for the game!

Thanks Diablo. I know you have a great knowledge about High Heat. Are you getting the Xbox version as well?

I have the same concerns. I played High Heat exclusively on the PC for years. But this year I too was very excited about the series coming to the XBOX. Prior to the delay I had planned on abandoning the PC version(due to the numerous problems I had with the PC version last year) and getting it on XBOX. I figured that it would be a smooth transition for PC to XBOX. But the delay has me worried. I was also thinking that 3DO has put out a successful version of High Heat on the PS2 last year, but we have yet to see a High Heat product on the XBOX. In other words, I know that they can produce a stable HH title for the PS2 but I'm not sure if they can do the same for the XBOX. This delay due to "quality assurance " concerns adds even more doubt as to whether 3DO can deliver. By the way, has a definte date for the XBOX release even been given?3DO just doesn't appear to have the manpower to produce quailty game across the board like EA or Sega. By no means I'm I a 3DO,Trip basher.
I love HH and can't wait to play the game. But,screenshots for both game appear to be identical. That why I'm just going to get the PS2 version. I only plan on buying one baseball game this year, so I hope I'm making the right choice. .Just my opinion.

                Yep yep!

Sir Nigel, keep in mind 3DO has had 2 years experience with the PS2. I think thats why the PS2 version has already been approved. The XBOX version will be fine. Its a much easier console to develop for. I think the delay is just to make sure things are running well. Just my 2 cents.

I agree, ports from one console to another are always at risk of having bugs. Also from the few screens I've seen, the ps2 version looks slightly sharper than the xbox version. It may just be how they were shot, but I hope the xbox version is atleast exactly similar to the ps2 version.

Diablto, that's exactly what I was thinking! I thought that the XBOX would be much easier to develop for also. That why I couldn't believe that they were having problems with the port. Maybe they were just having problems with the Live downloads as you stated earlier. But I do agree that they have had two years to work with the PS2. That is why I'm thinking that the PS2 would be the sure bet.
Diablo, do you think there will be a huge difference between XBOX and PS2? Graphics wise? I really hate giving up the BOX's HD for the PS2 mem cards. Also, does anyone think that there will be a big difference in loading times between the two. (Especially if they include in-game saves.)
