I bet Freddy Garcia is not on the Mariners in 3 years...

Not after the crap they pulled with him this offseason in arbitration.

How am I a mindless sheep. The farm has a lot of arms and from everything I've read and Bochy made more calls to the pen than any other manager in the majors last year. So to a mindless individual like me that must mean he's not running these guys into the ground. Of course you may be refering to the fact that the pen might be overworked. If that's the fact, what is Boche supposed to do? Let a guy just sit out there and get shelled. As far as I can remember Eaton and Walker are the only guys to have any kind of arm problems. Please don't use Jarvis as an example, he hasn't been with the team long enough. But if you want to talk future, it looks quite good as soon as they move into the downtown ballpark. No more San Diego discount, because they will be able to get the guys that want to come play there. SAn Diego has been one of the hottest destinations for free agants, but the Padres just haven't been able to shell out the cash.

The Mariners may have had 7 players who once hit 300, but last year they only had 2 people do it, barely.

It's ironic that Lou's gone, and now Bob Melvin has the bench and left fielder that he was begging for. I think Lamar Johnson will do well as M's hitting coach. We would have hit better, but Lou took a "hands-off" approach to coaching his hitters, and before BP got there, he always meddled in the pitching. I miss Nardi Contreras. He walks funny.

TRIBE BABY WHOO HOOO! If these young guns and prospects they got, they could be as good as the mid 90's teams. I know that even though they didn't win it all, they were always one of the top teams. Plus they look like they are more pitching rich than in the mid 90's. At first I wanted Shapiro's head I admit but now I see the big picture of what he is doing. WAR Tribe baby 2004
