Roped In

Well, I've let my own self-imposed hype machine wind me in again. I wasn't going to do much pre-ordering this season. I figured I'd pick-up the baseball titles as they came out. Not necessarily on the release dates, just on an as needed basis. That ended back on the 7th when I pre-ordered ASB (Xbox) and, since I was there already, I went ahead and ordered WSB (XBox) as well.

That's it! I told myself half-heartedly. I don't need anymore baseball games for a few months with those two. I'll pick-up High Heat, MVP, or Inside Pitch in the future if I needed them. But, I most likely wouldn't because who needs 4 or 5 baseball titles???

Ummmmmmmmm...

So my High Heat and MVP (Xbox) pre-orders went through TODAY. I couldn't help it!! They are all just enough different to need them all!! Damn Video Games!! Oh well...my kids can eat next month....

I don't think you'll regret it, it's an intriguing crop this year, no doubt----none like I've ever seen

i don't see the point in getting multiple sports games of the same type in the same year, i did that last year (getting NCAA Football 2003 and Madden 2003) and when i got Madden, i rarely played NCAA. i just go w/ the one i think is the best

Yeah, but he can always sell back/get store credit for the games he "weeds out". That money will just recycle itself anyway, if you play enough games....so it's not like it's a waste of money. Also, have you ever tried to rent a new sports title? I don't know where you live, but It's d@mn near impossible to find them locally here in Austin.

Yeah, but he can always sell back/get store credit for the games he "weeds out". That money will just recycle itself anyway, if you play enough games....so it's not like it's a waste of money. I will be about $150-$200 deep in baseball titles soon! My wife gets a little Po'd, but I sell the ones I don't like on Ebay, so she lives with it. This year is the worst, before you could write off TP, but now MVP looks great so you have to throw it in the mix with HH, ASB, and WSB.

If Inside Pitch is any good, I might end up divorced

I gave in to that damn BaseballGuru and preordered ASB yesterday. It just has to many new things that I had to at least give it a try.
