follow through's
Do any of the games feature, aside from different batting stances, different follow through's on swings for certain players? (such as Ichiro being half way out of the box as he hits the ball, or the classic griffey follow through, or any other "star" player's follow through. I mean not everybody swings the exact same way, which is the approach many game producers have taken in the last few years. I would like to see some, even if it is just a few players, personalized follow through's this year.Tags: None -
Re: follow through\'s
No games really ever have, from what I have played. Even the ones that have had really authentic stances "pop" back into a generic swing animation and follow through.
From what I have seen so far this year, only MVP looks to come close to doing it. In one of the movies, Manny Ramirez hit a bomb off of Barry Zito, and his follow through looked spot on. I think it was at SGN. Go check it out. -

Re: follow through\'s
MVP videos show different follow throughs. Some are one-handed (ala Mo Vaughn) and some are 2 handed.Comment

No kidding. I'm usually watching the ball.“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment

Well, probably anyone that chooses to. On replays you can't help but notice them, especially when they look as funky as they did in WSB last year. If they just use a different camera angle, it wouldnt be as noticeable.
Personally, I could care less about them. I was merely answering someone's question. It is kind of nice to see them done right, though, I will admit. A game not having them certainly wouldn't make me not want to buy it, though. I am not in that camp.Comment

Re: follow through\'s
couple of trival things that bugged me about WSB last year, included base runners not running out ground balls, the outfield glove on every fielder, lack of variety in player models.....these aren't that big of a deal, but they don't seem hard to fix, and shouldn't be that way to begin with.Comment

Re: follow through\'s
I agree with the not running out ground balls. Not only that, but the "stumble to a stop" animation they used was awful“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush.
