    Baseball on Fox

    Good grief...

The second guy covering the Mets/Cubs is awful, I swear it is like listening to Fred Willard...hilarious.

He's going on about pitches down the middle after a Ramirez double down the line, and when the replay shows, he goes into a

"See that pitch was over the middle of the plate, and they usually get pasted!"

But Ramirez is nearly down on his knee, going after an offspeed pitch just under his kneecap. This doofus announcer take a great piece of adjustment by Ramirez, who went with a pitch that fooled him, and wrapped his bat around it to send the ball down the leftfield line, and turns it into a bonehead move by the pitcher. The pitcher is also robbed for not getting credit for a good pitch...

Seriously, what an idiot. He's been awful thru 5 innings, I think they should pull him for a Haray Caray imitator.

The most glaring McCarver moment was around the 3rd inning or so when McCarver pointed out that Lilly has to make adjustments and that he cant continually pitch inside or he'll get killed. Except Lillly did continue to pitch inside and by the end of the game McCarver had changed his tune by raving about his ability to pitch inside? What happened to Lilly getting killed by going inside all the time?

When McCarver speaks, he sounds like a person thats never watched the game. Its hard to believe he actually PLAYED it!

The only person I hate more than Tim McCarver is Joe Morgan. Both of them talk down to their audience like they're talking to a bunch of 4 year olds and neither one ever shuts up.

They actually make me miss the Cubs regular announcers.

At a position that's thought of as a "thinking man's position" no less.

McCarver is a boob. He and Morgan would make quite the broadcast team.

Maybe McCarver was hit one time too many in the old noggin as a catcher back in the day. LOL
