    Game Informer anyone?

Has anyone happened to read the baseball preview in Game Informer? I was a little disappointed in the table the gave for features each game will have since in the basketball isue it disclosed who had multiplayer franchise and didnt. One thing I failed to realize until reading the article was that ASB is still only 20 seasons. The magazine is a little biased I think. It mentions others will measure up to HH in gameplay realism. It also mentions that ASB hasnt drastically improved in gameplay (but has almost everywhere else). It also says WSB is more arcade in gameplay (namely some of the GP features such as turning 2). I would WSB was a little better in gameplay for a couple of reasons. In wSB I liked how the physics yielded triples and such and I also liked the small ball. Both were decent but not great. In the end the article seems to be sold on the bells and whistles which are very impressive. By the end of the article I was about sold on ASB, then I came across the 20 season thing. I might get ASB. Still, I guess we all know not to put too much weight in people writing previews/reviews as they are seldome more qualified than us and at the very least dont know to look for what we think is important.

It was a decent preview, but you are not going to get too much depth out of any of the magazines. That is why you should support Operation Sports.

                        bunch of idiots:
-said world series baseball is front office is great, gameplay looks more arcadey.
                        - they say all-star is the best, yet say the gameplay and presentaion looks almost identical to last year(most complete and rewarding expirience)
                        - says that even though high heat is rehauling graphics and front office, the gameplay all of a sudden will be behind the rest , and the graphics won't be good enough. they say the lack of changes in gameplay as the reason for this.
for those paying attention, notice the hypocrisy.
                        - mlb inside pitch looks good, but said not as refined as the others.
says ea's meters were inspired from hot shot's golf me
ters.(not in a dissing tone but how dumb is that)
mlb 2004 - said game is like the others, creative concepts don't cover up unpolished play

                        others:
only game with create a team is allstar
WSB, IP, and MVP have visible managment on field
MLBPS2, MVP, and allstar have broken bats
MLBps2 and ip have umpire arguments
mvp and mlb don't have dropped 3rd strikes
hh has 27 pitches, allstar 15(different grades or something for apparently 120), rest have 9-10
allstar has 40,000 poly's in stadiums compared to 13,000 for the others(average)
allstar and wsb only have retro jerseys
mvp and ip have no hall of fame elections
                        ip has no franchise mode
mvp has no fantasy draft or career statistics
mvp and ip don't track yearly stats
mlb and ip don't have rookies in franchise(remember mlb's career may)
high heat has no user profiles for individual stat tracking
wsb and allstar have retired players
ip and mvp have no passed or wild pitches

all of this is according to GI.
