I don't think Chris Young will win the Cy Young. The voters always take wins in to account way more than they should and right now he's tied for 22 in the NL in wins. So despite him leading the league in ERA and WHIP I really don't think he'll win the award.

I know, although IMO he deserves it more then anyone. I took a look at some stats, he had 3 games where he went 6+, 0 runs and still didn't get a W. Then he had another with 1 run given up and didn't get a W.

Just looking at some of his ND:
      7IP 1R 3H
      7IP 0R 3H
      7IP 0R 5H
      6IP 1R 2H
      6IP 0R 3H

He has had a spectacular year, to bad his team can't score.

Also, he has had 8 games where he didn't allow a run, and pitched more then 6IP.

I completely agree that he deserves it. He was my pick at the All Star break to win it and he still is. I just don't think he will win it. The voters are too dumb.

Every year there's always a pitcher that doesn't get the run support and thus their record isn't a true representative of how the pitcher is doing that season.

It happened to Randy Johnson back a few years ago, Matt Cain has pitched better than his record indicates, etc.

With that being said, unless CY gets wins in each start from here on out, I don't think he'll get the award.

It's great having two aces, not so great having the worst offense.

Young gets my vote for CY, although you can't go wrong with Peavy either.
