Some background: I have not picked up a baseball video game since Triple Play (yellow cover with Sammy Sosa) on PS1.
Has actual gameplay (button pushing, not graphics) gotten that much better since then, or is baseball one of those sports that you just have to acquire a taste for?
I now have an Xbox and only really play Football, Soccer, and a little Inside Drive. But I am a huge baseball fan and would love to get back into it...
My former gripes were that the games were too slow, and it was basically pick a pitch and throw, or guess where the pitch will be and swing. Dynasty mode is great, but not if you end up having more fun with that and simming all your games.
Any input for someone who hasn't played video baseball in years is appreciated. (Sorry such an open ended query)
