in response to the Madden trade comment...are you telling me after last year that any team in the league wouldnt have given up a number one pick for marshall faulk? Curtis Martin showed this year that he's about run out of gas. Think about what you say before you say it.

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">not to get this off topic, but...

you kind of missed the point of my, well, point. that's not EXACTLY the trade that happened; i was just trying to illustrate the idea and threw out a couple of names. i am a jet fan so martin came to mind. faulk is the best player at martin's position, so there you go.

my point is that in madden, the cpu doesn't really "think" when trading. it just assesses value. it knows faulk is valuable, but does not consider that in real life the jets would not trade for faulk because they already have martin at that position. what would they do with martin's bigass contract when they acquired faulk?

that was my point. not that faulk is better than martin, faulk is not worth a #1 pick, or anything like that.

oh, and in response to all the guys talking about millar, isn't he in the game but just under a fake alias? i think in hh 2003 that was the case, so i just renamed him. maybe i'm wrong though. he is not in the player's union like some of the other guys (reed, agbayani, etc.) so i think you might have to just rename him...

I looked for Millar under a fake name, but wasn't able to find him. Could be I just missed him though..

oh, btw, cook, thanks a lot for your reply. that information realy helps. appreciate your time.

i have been lurking a while (more like the last couple of years) and value your opinion on hh. i noticed you have a ton of experience with the game and provide what i think is fair analysis. i like the way you see hh, so thanks for the post.

Well, i just saw another thread on the IGN boards where someone experienced this bug. But this time i trust the poster. He's a HUGE High Heat fan and has been very anxious for the release, but experienced this bug first hand. Maybe this is fixed for the Xbox/PC versions.

BTW, i hope you don't get the impression that i'm trying to steer people away from the game. I'm still very anxious for the Xbox version to come out. It's just that it seems to be more than just "rumors from WSB fanboys" and we should be aware of it.

did he say what mode he was playing in when he experienced the bug? (multiplayer, etc)

Millar was under contract in Japan, so I seriously doubt he is in the game. Now he is on the Red Sox.

Yes maybe we can isolate the problem if we know all the circumstances surrounding the bug. Hopefully this will be fixed in the XBOX version. ( I bought the PS2 version because I am weak willed and couldn't wait any longer. )
