I wouldn't believe it my friend. This is most likely a rumor started by a troll. There is NO WAY a bug like that would have escaped not only the developers but the game testers as well, not to mention reviewers who have had beta copies of the game for weeks now.

sox notes for you, they don't have mueller, he's in the FA's, and I can't find MIllar anywhere in the game. Also, you have to change one of the minor leaguers to be Merloni...freddy sanchez is there though....the pitching staff looks darn near perfect on first glance.Comment

You also have to change one of the Outfielders to be Agbayani.

if this 2-outs-but-score-from-third thing is true, that's terrible. no excuse for that.
hopefully it is fixed in future versions (is anyone else besides me considering buying the game for gamecube?).
anyway, i have a few questions for people who bought the game.
1. last year i wasn't striking out nearly enough with default pitch speeds so i bumped them up to the max (well, only bumped up changeups a couple). this fixed the problem, but caused a new problem. catchers began throwing out base stealers too easily because of the decreased time in which the pitches took to reach the plate. so i messed around with the fielders' arms slider a little. i think i fixed the problem but honestly don't remember (i got rid of my ps2 and hh 2003 because of disc read errors). could someone who bumps up pitch speeds check on this issue?
2. the only other problem i had last year was errors (had to bump 'em up a little to get realistic results). this was the only other slider i touched last year. cook, you touched on this, but maybe you or someone else could elaborate?
3. i always wondered about warming up pitchers. i love how hh makes you warm up your pitchers. a couple of questions about this, because i don't know how satisfied i was with last year's warm-up model.
-say you warm up a pitcher, and then sit him down. will he be warm? for how long after you sit him down? does the instruction manual touch on this?
-does the instruction manual say how many pitches it takes (pitches for the pitcher in the game) for a reliever to get warm? i think last year it was 10...
4. how is the trade ai? i hate bad trade ai (*cough* madden *cough*). in madden, the jets will give up a #1 pick for marshall faulk even though they have curtis martin. is hh's as bad? if so, i won't be trading...
as you can see, i am a stickler. i like my sports games real.
anyway, i had a couple of other questions, but i forgot them while typing these. thanks to anyone who answers.

1) they have some sliders for catchers throwing ability, which I am guessing would offset the increase in pitch speed. I think you will strike out more this year cause of all the different pitch types especially with the moving type fastballs.
2) way too early to tell but in4 games with no adj i had no errors with 2 nothces up I have had 5 errors in 2 games and an errant throw or two, coincidence?
3) I think it mentions if you get him up and than sit him down a lot he will lose effectiveness, I brought in ont guy right after the CPU sat him down and he lost his stamina really quick. I think it takes them roughly the same time it takes a real guy to get warmed up.
4) haven't tried any trades yet, will check into it.

Then don't open it up, and take the game back. From your previous posts it looks like your looking for an excuse to bash the game. I am beginning to wonder if you even have the game, or if you're just trolling.
The trolls do love to come out at the beginning of the baseball video game season.
