Excellent interview. I can't wait to pick up the Xbox version - hopefully not too much longer.

Re: High Heat Baseball 2004 Interview

I had HH last year and I wasn't planning on getting this years versioin, but the great franchise depth is almost drawing me back.

One of my big concerns about HH is the player models. WSB is being ripped on about everyone looking the same, but frankly I don't see any difference in any of the HH player models. I know the interview mentioned something about it, but then I must just be blind. Look at the pictures at gamespot. There is one of Barry Bonds batting and one of David Eckstein. There is very little difference between the size of the two, if there is any difference at all. In real life you could put two Ecksteins together and make one Bonds.

The other concern I have about HH is the batting interface and hopefully once someone gets the game they can answer about this. Last year I found it very difficult to judge whether or not a pitch was going to be in the strike zone. Trying to follow the pitch in was very difficult. I don't know whether it was the depth perception or just bad camera angles, but there defitely was something weird about it. Although ASB did alot of things wrong, I think that it was much easier to follow the flight of the ball and determine whether it would be a ball or strike. Because this was difficult in HH, I started using the pitch location feature, but that made hitting so easy and took all the fun out of batting.

This has me psyched up. I may be confused but there are full minor league teams for AAA,AA,and A. So there are tons and tons of minor leaguers?

Thanks for the interview, Steve. Well done!

I think 25 players per level.

I love how the stadiums will now have varying attendance numbers based on how well your team is playing. That is really sweet. I still think it's lame they can't put in mouse support for the PC, however.
