BaseWars: Battle for Cooperstown (Game Informer Mag)

Hey nerdz
Just received my March issue of Game Informer & in it has 8 pages dedicated to previewing all the Baseball titles.
Has new pics & all.
Here's some of my early impressions.......graphic wise based on the Pics, WSB2K3, HH, INSIDE PITCH & MVP look the most impressive. I'm especially surprised @ how good & realistic the players & graphics look in MVP. in 2 of the pics they show Tejada(A's) in his batting stance from behind the catcher @ an angle. In it his uniform is very detailed, reflection off the helmet is nice, looks just like a shot from WSB2K3.
Then they have the shot of Johnson (D-Backs) in his wind up pitch, very detailed & it looks a lot like the real life person, the back ground looks impressive with the huge portraits of players in the upper deck ceilings showing.
Inside Pitch has nice graphics, Stadiums look off the hizzy fo shizzy, player models looks sharp, the Stadiums just look so impressive, lighting, shawdows, structures in the back grounds, not even WSB2k3 can touch it.
HH looks nice too, very detailed, even down to the uniform patches on the sleeves & the player images on the HR walls. The colors looks very sharp & nice in the pics, as the Doger blue uniforms look like real blue & sharp.
Well if you aven't picked up the issue, go do so, nice read.

did they say anything about inside pitch gameplay so far. I wish we would get some movies or screenshots of this game. its appearing like an imaginary game right now.
i hope they implement alot of the features from ID 2003--fatigue/injury system.
i was mentioning on another topic about things sega should do with their game but actually MS could use the stuff probably more to their advantage since it is xbox only.

Announcers--Joe Buck and other announcer fox uses for playoffs.
Real time shadows, sun effects, clouds moving, wind effects, heat and cold, roof that close and open.
Pitching--similar to freethrows for ID 2003 for accuracy and meter for speed. Fatigue meter depends on pitcher,# of pitches etc for accuracy and velocity.

Hitting--use trigger button and d-pad for direction of swing. Depending on contact of bat and ball gives a feedback to controller similar to turret gun in Halo.

Camera editor for batting and fielding. I like to bat a bit higher to see outfield and infield positioning. Probably higher view and a bit from side to see where pitch is coming in. I dont like directly behind plate--cant see fielders where you want to hit ball.
Broken bats, monkey in angels, braves tomohawks, team specific chants, music importer, mound visits, bullpen, warm-ups, rotations, streaks, realistic trades.

That other announcer is Tim McCarver and you're nuts if you want to hear him ranting and raving about every nuance of the game in your video gaming experience. It's hard to believe he was actually good in the 80s and early 90s now he's just an annoyance.

There is something funny about someone calling people nerds, but has a subscription to Game Informer.

On a different note, that was a very "un-Skilz-like" post, Skilz. You actually showed a glimpse of understanding basic grammar and the english language. Did some of that Lubriderm go up your nose and into your brain?

And I don't really trust a post that lists High Heat as one of the better looking baseball games, but doesn't list ASB
