WSB 2k3 demo at CIrcuit City

Don't know if this is old news or not but some guy on the IGN boards said that he played the demo for WSB2k3 at Circuit City. Here is what he said:

    </font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />
Today I went to Circuit City and they had the game in there for some reason, but it only allowed you to play 3 innings with the Angels and Giants, in Anaheim. I took the Angels, and here's what I thought of those 3 innings:

Graphics: simply amazing. The player models are much better than last year, and the faces are a lot more realistic. The stadiums will blow you away, especially the crowd. There's no way that this won't be the prettiest baseball game this year.

Sound: It was a mixed bag. The baseball sounds (bat making contact, throws, hecklers, crowd, etc.) were amazing. It really made you feel like you're at the ballpark. However, the announcing didn't seem much improved over last year. I suppose it was a little better, but it still left much to be desired.

Gameplay: If you liked the batter/pitcher interface from last year, then you'll like this one. It's the same thing. You have to aim the cursor and time the swing. The pitch speeds were very realistic. I managed to strike out a few times. Also, I drew 3 walks. Last year I hardly ever walked, so this is a great improvement in my mind. On the pitching side, the behind the pitcher view is fantastic, definitely a big plus over the other baseball games. Last year I easily threw shutouts all the time, but this time I gave up 5 runs in three innings, on the normal difficulty level. Bonds took me deep in the first inning. There didn't seem to be a problem with the defensive A.I. from what I saw, but then again, I only played 3 innings.

Dunno where he lives. I just asked him right now, but here are some more impressions

Bonds has his armor and does appear to be more stacked than anyone else. Nobody was really huge or anything, I'm dying to see what Mo Vaughn looks like.
I played last year's version a ton and won most games around 9-0. In the 3 innings I played on the normal difficulty level, I was losing 5-1. I had three hits and three walks through three innings. Hopefully that is how it will be for all the games. Because judging by those three innings, the offense was a lot more balanced than last year's.

Defensive play seemed fine to me. I know in EGM's review that they are unhappy with the defensive AI, but I had no problem at all. Keep in mind that this is only 3 innings though. It was a lot harder to make great plays. Last year my 1st and 3rd basemen were able to make crazy dives and come up with just about everything. It's much more realistic now.

I know that it does have the option to turn off the cursor and just time your hitting. There is also an option to have some sort of wind-up to your swing. I didn't try either of those, so I'm not sure how they work.
Based on the 3 innings I played, it seemed to be more of a sim, but not as much so as High Heat is. However, it just seems a lot more fun than High Heat.

There it is... Power Pro hitting.

Everyone is still curious about Power Pro. That's the wind-up swing he is talking about. I knew that somebody would notice it, and I heard you use it for Big League Challenge. I want to know more about that.
