We're just getting it out of our system right now, just like the Sox did. Who's to say we won't go 11-1 in the playoffs, or whatever it was?

We started to play well again at the end of the year, including a sweep of the Indians to keep them out of the playoffs.

Out of your system? I think mediocrity in the NL Central is THE system.

So winning 10 of our last 15, and still having the possibility of finishing 13-5 in the last 18 is nothing?

Let's not forget that a "mediocre" NL Central team won the WS last year, and was the runner up the previous year.

I love Sox fans, you guys spend so much energy on watching and criticizing the Cubs' performance each year, no wonder you can't sell out your park.

Don't you mean the entire NL? I wonder if there has even been a season where no one had 90+ wins in one of the leagues.

It's not impossible to follow two teams at once. It's quite easy, actually. Isn't that attendance argument getting a little old? Last time I checked, there are few teams who sell out every home game.

I'm not talking about following two teams at once, I said you guys root harder for us to lose, than for the Sox to win. The only time I care about what the Sox are doing is when we play them.

When did I ever imply in a post that I root for you to lose? I was stating a fact that the NL Central is terrible, and the Cubs are looking bad.

I could care less how the rest the year turns out; my Sox are out of it.

Or when was the last time that neither team in any league has not either won 100 games or lost 100 games.

Good answer. But I wasn't thinking about the strike years.

Funniest part about his answer is he's still wrong.

                          It last happened in 2000.

In the AL the White Sox won 95 games while the Twins lost 93. In the NL the Giants won 97 while the Cubs and Phillies lost 97.

Not including strike years, it also happened in 1992. Other than those two years, it hasn't happened since MLB went to a 162 game schedule.

I could have missed a year as I just did a quick search, but that's what I found.
