Can someone please post a definitive link as to the 10 year franchise mode? I was under the impression that the manager goals lasted 10 years, yet the franchise system is unlimited years... meaning start with one team, play with that team for 10 years (although I think you can be fired before the 10 years are up if you fail consistently at the goals), and after the 10 years, you can either stay on with the team for another 10 or pick another team for their 10 year goals; but the franchise keeps going. Maybe I'm wrong... can someone prove me right or wrong?

I would agree with you but then people can say, what happens if that just want to sim and do stuff off the field and build a legacy of 30 years.

I cannot post a link cause i read it in a magazine......but you dont even have a contract i think. it is kind of like madden.....where jobs will open up every year. your goals are not all on a 10 yr scale either.....but, the the max is 10 yrs. and it is supposedly unlimited. someone had a link on it being unlimited a week or so ago.

Here's the problem....the goals change from team to team. Some website stated the Yankees must win something like 4 world series titles in 10 years. All of a sudden, someone makes a post that if you are the Yankees manager you guaranteed a 10 year contract. Then the next poster says that every manager gets a 10 year contract. Then the next poster says, all goals are based on 10 year incriments. Finally we come to the last poster who states that the franchise is only 10 years long. One misunderstanding ...suddenly we have a huge misunderstanding.
Here's the truth, MVP franchise is unlimited. You are not guaranteed to be with a team for 10 years. Team goals are different for every team, and not only that, but all teams have not just one goal, but several goals. If you fail to meet certain goals, your budget decreases...and finally you could be fired. Forget the 10 year thing...there's more to it than just 10 years.

10-years is plenty long enough for me. I dont im games cause I dont like the computer deciding how I do, so I can barely get through 1 162 (plus playoffs) season, let alon 10. Others may be into that though.
