Re: More likely to be fired at season's end?
Mets would be foolish to fire Willie based on a bad 2 weeks of baseball. IF this losing streak happened in July, many on here would be silent. Turnover at the managerial position is not how you build an organization.Comment

Re: More likely to be fired at season's end?
Yost has a tendency to yank the SP in the 6th inning. By then, most of the Brewer starters have rung up 100 pitches, then pick Wise or Linebrink for the 7th, Turnblow for the 8th and Cordero to finish up.
Just like clockwork.Comment

I feel like Milwaukee has spark... and teams with spark always start off strongly but simmer down towards the finish line. Next year, they will be one year smarter, and an MLB powerhouse.
The Mets failed unlike the Brewers. They had the pieces. They were set up to win, and had the payroll that said so. So what happens? Big collapse. It wasn't a spark that died out. It was a spark that was put out.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Re: More likely to be fired at season's end?
I don't really see either one being fired but if i have to choose i would say Randolph. The Mets had all the pressure in the world on them to win, the Brewers had all the pressure of Wisconsin, not the same thing. The Mets were expected to win a championship this season the Brewers were only expected to be a better team than last year. Randolph is staring down at being at the helm of the greatest collapse in MLB history and in New York of all places.
The only Manager(s) i could see being fired is Jim Tracy in Pittsburgh and possibly Grady Little in Los Angeles. Tracy's time in Pittsburgh has been a disaster and Little has managed to accomplish nothing with all the great talent the Dodgers supposedly have.
Before anyone says no about Little remember, the Red Sox fired him after he took them to the ALCS so anything is possible.Comment

Yost? Fired? Are you guys kidding me? The Brewers have been a joke since the 80s and just now they're getting back to respectability. You can't build a championship team in one year.
His job is safe.Comment

Re: More likely to be fired at season's end?
Two years ago we won 81 games with far less talent and payroll in a much tougher division. To only win two more games this year (if they win tomorrow) is pathetic. Bringing Yost and his questionable (to say the least) in-game managing back gives me no confidence that this team will realize their full potential in this 3-5 year window of opportunity they have.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers
