There is no way they should even be expected to do that. Given the very limited parameters in which the bug happens, and given the fact that have told everyone how to avoid it, combined with the fact that a recall would be financially devastating for them, I can't see how any reasonable person could honestly expect them to bite the bullet and recall the game. Personally I'd rather have them around so they can make HH2005 next season. They are already in tough financial shape and people want them to make a massive recall to fix a bug that can easily be avoided 100% of the time? If you hit a batter, temporarily move the foul ball slider up to 100%. That reportedly negates the bug every time. Period. So big deal. Those with the PS2 version should learn to avoid the bug and enjoy what is by most accounts an excellent baseball sim.

      Re: The \"BUG\"- 3DO response

The more I play the less crap I see so I'm not worried about it.

It's funny though, the best playing baseball game I have ever seen and people will actually buy games like ASB and WSB, which can't hold a candle to the realism HH provides.

Glad to hear the "bug" will be fixed for the Xbox version. Let's hope 3DO keeps their promise.

I was premature on this. If a foul ball is hit into the stands, it negates the bug. Turning up the foul ball slider simply increases the chances of this. Still, if I had no choice (I have an X-Box and prefer it's faster loading times and power over my PS2) I would not hesitate one iota to get the PS2 version even with the bug. It is very easily avoided.

I totally agree-it would be insanely expensive to recall all the PS2 discs. I think we would all prefer 3DO sinking that money into next year's HH instead of trying to fix a problem that has been proven to be rare and minor. Sometimes we all forget what a complex task it is to simulate baseball in a videogame-think about it: it's a tough, complex sport to translate into a bunch of 0's and 1's. I, for one, am willing to forgive 3DO for this little hiccup.
