Re: Congrats Diamondbacks NL West Champs!
Are you sure they won't have to play a 1 game playoff if have the same record? I know the Diamondbacks did win the season series, but I'm not sure as to what kind of role it plays in the seedings.Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium. -
Re: Congrats Diamondbacks NL West Champs!
Nope, no one game playoff if both teams make the postseason. The Padres would get the wild card and the Diamondbacks would get the division based on the season series. If there was only one playoff spot, they'd have a one game playoff to decide the division winner.Comment

Re: Congrats Diamondbacks NL West Champs!
So Diamondbacks vs Cubs is set for the first round since Diamondbacks can't play an opponent from the same division. While Chicago has been on fire this is probably the best matchup they could have asked for though Chicago has really been swinging the bat well lately. Of course all this goes out the window once the playoffs starts.Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.Comment

Re: Congrats Diamondbacks NL West Champs!
No, Arizona would play the wildcard team if it came from the East. The Cubs have the worst record of the NL postseason teams, but the wildcard is still the #4 seed, regardless of record. Arizona will get the Cubs if the Padres win the wildcard. So, the matchups aren't set yet.Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.Comment
