NL Wild Card scenario??
So if the Padres lose tomorrow and the Mets and Phils both win....everyone is 89-73. Of course everyone knows the Mets/Phils would need to have the one game playoff, but does that game count toward overall percentage? Basically, if it comes down to that one game playoff, does the loser lose out everything? Would seem that the loser would still need to play the Padres for the WC slot, no?Tags: None -

Re: NL Wild Card scenario??
It's a little old, but if you go back and look at the 2003 postseason tiebreakers that you can find from Google, they state.
"Any playoff games played to determine a Division champion shall not count in determining which Clubs are deemed tied for a Wild Card designation."
Hope it helps.Comment
