Create A Player Question

Hi,

Has anyone messed around with the Create A Player option? Well, I was goofing around and created myself as the Phillies 3rd baseman. I of course gave myself the max avergae and power ratings. However, I couldn't find a way to edit the patience or "eye" attribrute. Has anyone found a way to do this? Every time I try to create a player, his patience drops to the 40s or 50s. Also, I simmed a whole season to see what kind of stats my fake player would generate. Well, they weren't to realistic. My guy had 100 power and 96 Average, and he hit .386 with 20 Hrs. But the big problem was that he had over 100 doubles. Something like 75% of his hits were doubles. Is this a glitch or am I the only person who has seen this? Any help you guys can give me is appreciated.

I loaded a created player w/ average and power and he has 30 doubles -- 11 triples as of May 20 -- I'm no math major but that figures out to high numbers and I'm playing on MVP.

I'll probably just go in and edit his numbers. Hopefully, that'll take care of it.

how do you create a guy and NOT have him be an 18 year old rookie?

Unfortunately, the ps2 version of Create a player is NO WHERE near the depth of the PC version, and this sucks horribly...I wished they would at least let you see your guy as your create him, but since all of the player models are pretty generic, I guess it doesn't matter. As far as attributes like patience, fielding etc, GOOD LUCK with those, because the developers have screwed us there! this game, while it will hold me until mid-march, is toast when WSB comes out!!!

Thanks for the info guys. This Create a player feature is really horrible. It's actually on of the worst I've ever seen in any sports game. What's the point if you can't even edit some of the key features like fielding and patience? Anyway, I'm leaning more and more to returning this game and picking up ASB or WSB.
