Wow .229 avg for Peavy. That's like being a .400 hitter for position players.

So you're implying that they're correct when Peavy's last start was another "big game".

I just hate those people because they're pulling the same thing on Hoffman. It's as if they remember only his bad games.

"Big game pitchers" come through with the season on the line. Peavy has no-showed in both career starts in the playoffs, and hasn't looked good at all through the first 2 innings tonight.

Looks like Peavy's hit may have started a little rally for the Pads.

His first start he shouldn't even had started. He had a broken rib that he told no one about. His second start I'll admit he got beat.

We should've kept Oliver Perez then since he's a big game pitcher in the playoffs.

That's the Fogg we expected to see.

They won't score. One out, then a double play.

                        2) Asking for way too much out of the Padres offense. They can't expect Hairston or Giles to do it again.

And it's hard to relax when you're split between wanting the Padres to win to get into the playoffs, or have them lose so the front office actually has to do something to make them at least competitive against a surging Rockies and D-Backs team.
26 is pretty damn young. I don't care if he's been around 6 years, he still has plenty of time to improve.

Grand slam Padres. Maybe the game is over now? Nope.

And don't tell me it's hard to relax. I've never seen my team get to the WS.

Peavy's not a big game pitcher, but maybe he's a big game hitter.

After many bases-loaded attempts like that when they fail to score, they make me look stupid.

Of course they aren't exactly the worst in the league in bases loaded... LA holds that honor.
