The NY media has been destroying the TBS announcers (surprise, surprise). Caray is a little over the top, but he has a good voice and isn't a total d-bag. I've liked them, they are miles better than Joe Morgan & Jon Miller or Joe Buck and McCarver.

Why is the NY media criticizing Caray and co.? In the games in NY Caray did everything but run out on the field wearing Yankee colors. It got THAT bad with him in NY. At least in Cleveland he wasn't so NY biased.

I wonder how he'll call the Rockies/D-Backs series?

There are plenty of Yankee-haters in the NY media, it was more of his meaningless quips and such. Like in Game 1 the Yanks get a hit in the 9th down 12-3 and Caray says, "The Yankees will not go quietly into the night," from what I heard/read. Not a big deal to me.

Plus, as far as him being a NY homer in the series I actually think he was a trying to plug TBS and get people to keep watching by hyping up the team that was losing. It seemed like he was trying to act like Games 1 and 3 were not over when the respective team faced a large deficit.

            are you freaking kidding me?

Do you not remember Game 1 where after a big hit by Cleveland he says "Cleveland rocks".

I know you hate the Yankees, but come on. Give me a freaking break. He was homering the home team in all 4 games, and in game 4 he homered Paul Byrd so bad.

            Don't give me that crap

TBS is in my opinion far better than the idiots on Fox

Yea in the Yankees-Indians series Carey was going nuts for the home team in all 4 games.

Good, I like Caray, I was thinking last night that Madden is the NFL voice, Marv Albert is known for the NBA, why not Chip Caray?

Nope, I think most people would say the national voice for baseball (at least on TV) is Jon Miller.

Chip Caray is also a former Orlando Magic announcer, so he does have a little baller in him.......I miss the old Chip and the Goose (Jack Givens) announcing teams for the Magic.

MLB doesn't have a voice. I wouldn't consider Jon Miller the voice of the MLB. I would consider it Vin Scully more than I consider it Jon Miller
