Alright, I haven't gotten any of the games yet, but here's what I want you to do. Based on what I'm looking for in the games, please make a choice of what game I should probably choose.
What the Game Must Have:
<font color="blue">Graphics </font> - Not a big stickler, but I don't want to see graphics like I did on Madden, where the ball just travels through bodies, and QB's do 360 degree throws off their backfoot.
<font color="blue">Commentary</font> - Again, not a big stickler about this. Madden did get repetitive, but it was never a cause of boredom from the game.
<font color="blue">Gameplay</font> - It must feel like I'm playing baseball. I don't want to walk up to the plate with Ken Griffey Jr and it feel like I'm batting with a pitcher. I want it to feel like I'm batting with a Pitcher only if I am batting with a pitcher. I don't want slow reactions by the fielders either, especially if I'm using the best SS in the game, ARod. If I have an awesome pitcher, aka Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, or anybody else, and it feel like I'm pitching against Jason Giambi when it's really a pitcher I'm pitching against. (In previous games, Giambi always hit a homerun off of me everytime he was up, everytime!!! I hated it when he came to bat. It got to the point where I just walked him, lol). I want challenging yet realistic play.
<font color="blue">Audio</font> - Again, commentary is not a stickler, but I don't want to be playing the game, hit a homerun, and on the next batter hear the Commentator say, WOWW!!!!!! Did you just see that hit. It almost cleared the park!!! I had HH2003 for the PC last year, and they had some of the worst problems in a baseball game ever with audio and it freezing the game because of it. Again, I want it to feel like I'm playing the game of baseball (must be fun), not like I'm watching the game of baseball (that makes baseball boring).
<font color="blue">Modes</font> - Of course, there must be a Franchise Mode and a Home Run Derby mode. Franchise Mode can be however long, just not less than 20 season worth. So that rules out MLB from 989 sports.
<font color="blue">Minor Leagues</font> - This isn't a must, but it is a very nice addition. High Heat 2004 leads my vote right now due to this reason, but it is a small reason why I want the game. It's not a big MUST HAVE for me.
<font color="blue">Drafting</font> - This is a MUST HAVE for me. I want to draft and have an actuall off-season rather than finishing a season, and hitting ADVANCE TO NEXT SEASON.
<font color="blue">Rosters</font> - Could care less about downloading roster updates. This doesn't have any factor in me choosing a game.
Alright, after reading my must have's for the baseball game I want, pick from the list the game which you feel would meet at least most of those needs.
