Re: Please Make A Wise Choice For Me:

Well, to answer someone's question on why we ask for people's advice is this: Sometimes, people know of sites that offer more information than the ones we find. All I did was post a poll for people to help me decide. Right now I'm leaning between MVP Baseball 2003 and World Series Baseball 2K3. I like High Heat but all I hear about it is stuff about glitches. I already know the gameplay is great, and I know that the other games aren't out yet. I just wanted advice. Also, I made plans on renting the games, I just don't want to rent them all. I'm a big EA Sports Games fan, but Triple Play pissed me off. Now they have something different, but I also wanted to get WSB 2K3 due to all the good reviews it got last year. However, I don't want two baseball games (as someone mentioned in one reply) mainly because I would play only one game and not the other, so it would be a waste of money.

I like the idea of unlimited franchise seasons, so that kinda rules out the ASB and MLB.

    Thanks for the votes

MVP Baseball 2003 and WSB 2k3. But if you have to choose one, WSB 2k3.

MVP has a cool multiplayer split screen home run derby, a player draft, a unlimited franchise with some neat features such as momentum meter, game impact, hirings and firings, and intervention and the 10 year goals, it seems to have extremely good graphics(not as good as WSB unless you like the MVP style better, like me) with a lot of player stances and appearances dead on, not to sure about the commentary but from what i have heard it is about the same as all the rest, it does NOT however have any minor leagues just a 40 man inactive roster that you can have minor leaguers on and call them up at any time. the gameplat seems to be really good and fun according to all the previews i think it has a lot of potential with the new throw meters and pitch meters it seems like a lot of fun.

WSB also has unlimited franchsie mode, big league challenge home run derby(what you see on espn), extremely good grahpics(technically the best unless you don't like the style as much), but it also has really cool end game animations which is different after the WS, not to sure about the commentary either but from what i can tell it seems to be really good, it has the batting cursor gameplay which some like better but also has the option to turn it off i am not to sure how the overall gameplay is but it seems to have a lot of potential as well with the cool wall jumps and all, and while since it has minor leagues i would assume it has a player
draft also WSB has a lot of cool features such as setting up a 4 man rotation and setting the percent of play your substitutes get to play, as well as some cool stat features which can be seen at ign.com, not to mention the player loyalty which makes it easier to sign big name players cheaper if they are loyal to your team, also segasports has said they are looking for ways to get updated rosters out to the people who buy WSB(FatPitcher said demos in mags is one possibilitie)...this game as well as MVP has a lot of potential

All together it all comes down to whether or not you have $100 to blow or enough time to play two baseball games which i don't

I was reading about WSB 2K3 on IGN and everything about the management side has me wanting to get that game. It sounds so much more fun than Madden, like about 100% better that is. I watched the videos, and I love the behind the pitcher view. Only question about that is: Can you have two different views? What I mean is, when you are pitching, can you have the Camera automatically set for Behind the Pitcher view, and when it's your turn to bat, it automatically changes to behind the catcher view? That's not a real big factor in making up my mind about the games to choose (currently deciding between WSB 2k3 and MVP Baseball 2003).

What I wish about these games, is I wish that the WSB 2K3 had the same Pitcher-Batter Interface. That may be the ultimate factor in me deciding which game I choose. I'm used to the cursor system based on the Triple Play series, but I would rather have the system that MVP Baseball will have.

WSB 2K3... you guys seriously don't know what you're missing when you look at this game, because I'm sure you are only watching the movies, right? Well, I'm reading about franchise, and to be perfectly honest on this one (because I used to be such a graphicsd whore), I am now buying this game because of the good choice of modes and the franchise more than the game itself, but the game is not a bonus either... it's RIGHT up there with franchise.

Keep in mind that for Big League Challenge mode, you can pick any stadium, and you can change it to home run derby settings (like 4 vs 4).
