Thoughts on These Trades

Well as I get deeper into the minor league system as well as the trade logic I'd like to get some opinions on trades that the computer approved or rejected. Bascially I want to get a feel for if people agree with the logic.

TRADES ACCEPTED

Jason Marquis (Braves Pitcher) and Minor League Pitcher for Mark Prior (Cubs Pitcher)
Andruw Jones for Johnny Damon, Casey Fossam, and Minor Leage Center Fielder
Javy Lopez and Mike Hampton for Ivan Rodriguez

TRADES REJECTED
Mike Hampton, Vinny Castilla, and Jason Marquis for Griffey Jr.
Marquis, Hampton, and Castilla for Erik Hinske
Smoltz for Francisco Rodriguez (Angles)

Seems ok to me. Whatever they are they are WAY better than last years WSB trade madness.

sounds like fair trades both ways. I guess it depends on the teams situation but the rejects seem fair too.

the only one that surprised me was the cubs trading Mark Prior. He and Wood are supposed to be the Maddux/Glavine combo in Chicago according to the Tribune.

You mean the Cubune... the paper owned by the same company as the team?

They're not biased at all.

Not too bad, as long as the minor league pitcher is somebody with talent.

I think this trade is horrible, but I need to try and hide my bias - I love Casey Fossum and think he could become a very good number two or three pticher. And Damon is a gamer too. If anything, the Red sox lose big time in this trade.

That's a fine trade.

All the rejectred trades should have been rejected. I'm hoping that there will be a way to increase trading, however, given the fact that three trades over a full season is pretty small.

Maybe along with the "bug," 3DO spent a little extra time on the GM model for the XBox and PC.

wow... they wouldn't trade Erik Hinske for Marquis, Hampton and Castilla?? I was able to *unload* (and I say unload because I just don't like him!) Sammy Sosa and 3 rather poorly rated minor leaguers for Erik Hinske, Jayson Werth, Vernon Wells AND Chris Woodward! Needless to say I was happy with their approval of that one I'm a Tronna fan all the way, but I'm using the Cubs because of their young starting rotation... Now i've got my toronto influence too!
