Looks like I might get MVP after all...
I've been on the WSB bandwagon but after hearing some of the impressions from videos I think there's still a good chance that I'll get MVP.Tags: None -
Re: Looks like I might get MVP after all...
Im kind of in the same boat. For a while I have wanted the throw meter to work. I even had considered whether it was better to control the fielder, with all the awkwardness that comes with that, or the throw. I was pleasantly surprised to see they are leaning this way. A lot of what they are doing makes sense but I worry because its a first run. If anyone had the resources to turn it around in one year it would be EA. There are a lot of things to consider too, namely in the way of realism. I think some of the 10 year objectives are silly but at least you can go to a different team unlike WS . Im glad that they are trying to capture the drama of the one on one (ie pitcher batter) showdown) as Ive read. This could possibly have great replay value for me. My biggest worry at this point is whether you can see any career stats at all. It would be passable for me if there were no career stat trackin'g in the Stats menu but I would hope to at least see career stats on an indiviual players info screen. Isnt that part of the appeal of franchise mode anyway...to see how the players you draft/acquire do over their career? I guess Im cautiously optimistic.Comment

Yes, they do. But it's up to you to position your fielders so that they have the chance to dive. Truthfully, I didn't even really notice that there wasn't a jump button in last years WSB, but that's just me. I'll be getting MVP either way.New England Patriots

Re: Looks like I might get MVP after all...
I dont mind CPU controlled fielding because it saves you from making a mistake as a result of awkward transitions when the ball is put into play. By that I am referring to when the CPU makes you assume control of the wrong guy especially on a line drive. By worrying about the throw the CPU should eliminate these types of gaffs.Comment
