    Problems with adjusting weight of created players (PS2)

    I created a player with the weight of 240lbs. During a game, I couldn't help noticing how thin he looked for a 240 pounder. I created another player weighing in at 300lbs. He looked exactly the same. So I made a third player, weighing 150lbs. And guess what, he looked the same! o_o

    For some oddball reason, I can't change created player sizes at all. I haven't heard anyone else complaining of this, so I was wondering if it was only my copy with that problem.

    -_-;

        no, it's true, you can't change them, no matter what weight you put them at...according to others on this forum, "little details like this aren't important."

            "Aren't important"?

            You have got to be kidding me.

            My dreams of creating Mo Vaughn's imaginary twin brother are dashed because of this.

            Geez

                Well, this is my ONLY complaint about HH2K4, but it is a sticking point for me. I posted a review for The latest Madden game on Video game review.com, comparing it graphically, with Segas NFL2K3. One of my points was that Ted Washington, on madden, LOOKS like the real-life Ted Washington...i.e. gut hanging over his belt, etc...On NFL2K3, the detail isn't there, even though he is portrayed as a large man. As stated on other threads in this forum, I like the OPTION to change the look of the game I spent my hard earned money on!! There are those out there that, no matter how you slice it, will be a die-hard HH2k4 fan, despite obvious flaws with the game. I used to be this way...but I guarantee you, after WSB or MLB comes out, and I find that thier gameplay is at least ON PAR with HH, and the create a player or edit player mode is more in-depth, guess what game goes to funcoland in a trade? I no longer have a blind allegience to a particular company or platform, because I, for my dollar, can't afford it. A few years ago, I BOUGHT the dreamcast just because of the sports games they advertised for the system...when the first incarnation of WSB came out, I waited a couple of weeks and read some reviews. Boy, was I glad I didn't spend my money, because the game, while it was absolutely gourgeous, was a complete flop. I would suggest you wait for the other games to come out and judge for yourself before tossing HH, because this game does the majority of things you want from a baseball game very well. Good luck!

                    The true test is going to be if WSB and ASB really do come close to catching up with High Heat in the gameplay department. High Heat took a big step forward with the increase in foul balls. Read my thread on why I love this game to find out more about that.

                    Those are the little things (along with drawing five walks in one game, something I could never do on ASB) that I love about HH. I'm not blindly loyal, but I'm willing to overlook some rust on a car that otherwise runs pretty damn smooth.

                        Well, this is my biggest gripe on HH2k4. It just irks me seeing my newly created Prince Fielder (Cecil Fielder's 250lb+ son btw) being stuck with a body that makes him look like Otis Nixon.

                        Besides that, the game is great. I've learned to deal with the minor slowdown...which isn't that bad, if ya ask me.

                        But if this is fixed on the X-Box version, I'll be willing to pick that copy up.
