The Tigers are in the market for a SS - I could see them possibly pursuing Eckstein (is St. Louis going to let him walk?)

I'm interested in the Jorge Julio sweepstakes. I'd imagine every team will be throwing mega-bucks at him.

Chuck Swirsky suggested the Blue Jays go after A-Rod. I hope he's BSing because I don't think A-Rod could survive here either. It's a little known fact among American sports fans that the Toronto media can be just as nasty and wicked as New York.

Other then that I think the Jays are just going to fine tune things and add depth to the bench. I did hear that JP wants to add a bonafide backup at catcher.

As much as I would love to go through that list and find players the Twins might sign, I have accepted that it will be another year of the Rondell Whites of the free agent market. On top of that, we will lose Torii Hunter. Yay.

Cashman reconfirmed the fact that the Yankees will not pursue A-Rod if he opts out of his contract.

Definitely not the year for starting pitchers in free agency. The best starter available is Kyle Lohse.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Indians bring in a guy like Kerry Wood to compete for the #5 spot in our rotation...

Why? You guys have Carlos Gullien. The White Sox would take Carlos Gullien over Juan Uribe anyday.

Guillen is moving to 1st base next year to take the stress off his knees.

Rivera came out today & said that if Torre is gone, it will "affect his decision" whether he would re-sign or not

Carlos Guillen is a butcher at SS, that's why.
