    Watching CPU vs CPU

Wondering if anyone has done this yet?

I tried it,and it's simply amazing how realistic it plays.

    Re: Watching CPU vs CPU

I do not have this years yet, sadly. I'm still waiting for the XBox version.

But I have watched CPU v CPU games in the past to see how the CPU handles itself running, well, itself. It is very, very good.

It's too bad HH doesn't have the resources to put together something that looks like Home Run King, WSB, ASB, or MVP. If it did, I do think it would not catch nearly as much flak. Hell, the game plays well, if you're into it.

Looking at Video's it doesn't look like it is neck and neck with MVP and ASB if not ahead of them. Maybe I've just seen the wrong videos, but looks pretty enough to me. I just hope the gameplay as much as everyone else seems to.

I've done this...actually this is how I play...kinda like a coach mode. I put everything to automatic except substitions, and yes, it is amazing how realistic them games come out, especially after you tune the game to your liking!

When you have pitching on automatic can you still choose the pitches?

                    Johnr,

I am really interested in trying to get as close to coach mode as possible. Could you identify some of the settings you use to "tune" the game? Also, do you call the pitches when you turning pitching onto automatic? Thanks in advance.

Ok, this is what I've tuned the game to thus far:
Batting: one tap to the right, power only for cpu and human
pitch speed: two taps to the right for all pitches
run speed: one tap to the right for all runners
misc: pitch count, pitch control sim and pitcher fatigue, max these out.
throw speed: leave as is or one tap to the right for fielders only.
under batting, I found that if you change the power more than two taps to the right, everybody starts to hit home runs...if you leave run speeds at the default, you won't see runners tagging up, at all...it seems to make them more aggresive to move it a little..also more steals and attempted steals. as far as throw speeds, this is up to the individual, but I would leave the catcher throws alone, Ichiro got thrown out five consecutive times over a two game period until I moved it back to default. Good Luck!! by the way, I use the behind the pitcher view for both teams, almost feels like a real-life broadcast!
