Re: EA sheep (WARNING: Big RANT ahead)

EA seems to have the deepest resources, and should be able to make the best game. The TP series seemed to show their laziness. Thankfully other companies have come along to push them some. HH gameplay, with EA graphics and creativity - that would be a winner.

Come on folks Triple Play is dead so let's move on, try MVP and if you dont like it the return it. Well unless you shop at EB

Then your best bet is to rent.

I would rather be deemed a sheep then someone who simply does not buy a game because "X" publisher/devloper is behind the making of it.

I dislike EA as much as the next guy, but MVP looks promising.

I don't think people would have given it a chance unless they knew it was gonna be an improvement over Triple Play. So far the game reads as a huge improvement to Triple Play.

We have our opinions. I'm gettin MVP, b/c personally I feel I'll enjoy the game more than ASB or WSB. But you are entitled to your opinion.

Calling those that buy MVP sheeps, however, is kinda jumpin in front to quickly.

                      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I agree, MVP does LOOK promising. But so did every version of TP. EA knows how to build anticipation for their products. But when you get it in your hands, too many times, it disappoints. Until you can get your hands on the game, I don't understand how you think you are going to enjoy it more. Yes, it's looks good. Presentation is there. Looks clean. But how does it PLAY? That's where many of their games have fallen short.

That being said, I will try it out. But I'm not going to put on my purchase list before the other titles that I KNOW have been good in the past.

I'm not calling everyone that is going to buy this game sheep, but you have to admit there are way too many people expecting this game to be good JUST because EA is doing it.

Giving the game a "try" is one thing. But many people are declaring this title a front runner before they've play it. What makes you think I'm upset? Did I mention a preference for 3DO or Sega ANYWHERE in my post? As a matter of fact, I mention many EA title that are the [censored]. So don't try to make this into something that it isn't. I will tell you one of my faults: I'm blinded by the rage of disappointment that Triple Play and Live have given me over the past 7 years!!! So, yes, there is some emotion wrapped into it. This was my thinking back in the day: "Madden is awesome. NHL is good. So TP and Live HAVE to be good. It's an EA product." Boy was I stupid. This has ZERO to do with ANY ofther developer.

If I can't stand it, I'll take it back. You just aren't going to see me call it my "game of choice" because I don't know one thing about it outside of movies and screenshots.

Also, does anyone have any proof that EA has a completely new team working on MVP? I know how their managment works, so I find it hard to believe that the project has had a complete blood transfusion. If I'm wrong, I'll be the happiest poster here.
