Re: Stoneman to step down
Good GMs are stepping down all over this baseball market.
I can't really understand their reasoning but perhaps the farm system/young approach is cutting down on their desire to have more freedom with their rosters."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer -
Re: Stoneman to step down
I don't see this as a big loss for the Angels in any way. The Angels needed another bat to go with Guerrero and Stoneman sat on his thumbs because of his refusal to deal any of the "great" prospects the Angels claim to have.
Good riddance.Comment
