WSB hitting interface

If anybody could answer this, it'd be appreciated:

What exactly is this metered-cursor swing Ive been hearing about in WSB? How exactly does it work. Do you have to time the swing with a meter to make solid contact (like if it doesn't fill up all the way then you won't hit the ball as good?)
That sounds cool, does anyone know?

i am pretty sure that the curser is still there, but you just have to hold down the power or contact swing button to charge up the meter. this seems complicated since you will still have to use the curser.
