I don't understand some of you...

Some people decide not to get a game because of the absence of a multiplayer franchise mode? Or the absence of a behind-the-pitcher view? Or just the fact that a baseball game has "crouching" after animations?

I personally don't think any of these detract from a game. I think the importance lies in the realism in the gameplay, specifically in the number of home runs, variety of hits, and the strategy of pitching and hitting. ASB offers some great features and I just hope the gameplay is improved.

Some of you should not judge or just plain ignore a game because of the reasons listed above or other frivolous things. Who knows, you might be missing out on a great game. I know people are entitled to their opinions but some of these gripes make me scratch my head.

most important thing to me is if the game is fun. that is it. That is what games are for. but yes, some people are too picky.

Amen, BernieWilliams51. It angers me to see people attack ASB, then raise up some other game. As far as the animation, there should be a lot since they got 2,500 of them.

Oh yeah, the Homeruns for this year have been tweaked down from last years version. And they also worked on pitching, hitting and fielding.

Then again, $50 bucks has more value to some than it does to others.

I agree, except for that point. I've played Madden 2003 religiously since it came out, and I've honestly played 0 games outside of the multiplayer franchise. The game just wouldn't be the same.

I won't buy a game without Franchise, unless it's the only game with Online play (Inside Pitch). I spend ALL my time in the franchise mode and it makes no sense buy one without it. It's just not worth it. It should be an awesome game though.

Some people can be picky though, but with so many games, they won't miss out too badly if they don't get one.
