    My Quick Tidbits

im gonna make this short but I didnt wanna let out my thoughts, I started franchise mode w. the bosox and traded casey fossum and a AAA slugger for the cubs Mark Prior, I simmed the entire season and the it was Mets vs. Sox in the world series, Pedro and Lowe had outstanding seasons sub 3 ERA for both, and Prior was right behind as well as Wakefield at 3.50 (close to it) After simming the first 4 games of the WS my sox were up 3-1, I played the clincher and won 3-0 on a brilliant display of pitching by Derek Lowe, 9IP 3SO, 4hits 0ER

The on field celebration was horrible, I think I've seen better celebration scenes on the NES, for those who dont know, its a birdseye view of some ants (ballplayers) who walk around like idiots like they are drawn together by magnets, but the cool part is, the annoucers said...."the curse of the bambino has finally been lifted!!" I liked that touch alot

Overall I think this is a great baseball game, and havent adjusted any sliders, I just bought it to kill time til I can pick up my XBOX baseball game, which is either gonna be MVP or WSB. There are too many bugs in HH that get on my nerves, although I have played maybe 20 games altogether I have only seen the "2 out man on 3rd" bug once. There are however sound issues, and the crowd noise cuts in and out all the time. I get these loud crackles of sound every now and then at menus as well. I also hate the camera change when diving for a ball, most of the time it gives you a horrible view of the play, and your player is off half the screen, you cant even tell if you caught it or not. If the ball gets by you, forget about it the camera is in the worst position to make a play on it by your OFer and the ball will roll deep into the OF grass.

Setting your rosters and rotation is a pain in the *** and the computer almost never follows them. If a player is put on DL or coming off DL it messes up your whole rotation automatically.

The fantasy draft is horrible done, its way too complicated....I dont like having to scroll down a list of 500 names to find a guy like Rafael Palmeiro, almost know way to organize it. I really wish this was done better because this alone will make me never play the fantasy draft.

I havent played with the minor leagues yet, so I dont really have anything to offer ya

Here are my grades and then I'm done thanks for taking your time to read this!

    Graphics - C+
    Sound - C-
    Gameplay - A
Replay Value - B+ (Unlimited Franchise!!)
    Overall - B

So its not a bad game, but I am resting my chances on either WSB or MVP

I've been saying for years that celebrations have never been anything like Tecmo, and that fact still remains.

I've had that crackling, screwed up sound thing happen at the menu screens a few times, too. I've also had a couple of occasions where the commentating was screwed up (guy sounding like he's one of the Chipmunks) when first starting a game. Fortunately, that straightened itself out after a few seconds.

A few things I may can help you out with. First, that camera problem you're having sounds like it's because you're playing with Action Camera turned ON. Turn that OFF and the camera angle will never switch on you after you get into fielding mode. Try playing with the highest camera level. To me, it gives a better overall sense of where everything is and where I need to move my players.

As for the fantasy draft, I haven't done that yet with 2004, but if it works like 2003 did on the PC, you can use the sort button to list the players according to position, age, etc. This helps out some with having to scroll down so far to find players. One thing in this area that I don't like is the lack of a scroll bar. I never know how far down I am when scrolling and how far I still have to go to get to the bottom.

As far as setting the lineups go, this has always been a very hands-on type of game. You will have to do a certain amount of 'housekeeping' to keep your team running along smoothly. I'm not sure if the game has an Auto feature that you can use for roster management, but even if it did, it wouldn't do nearly as good of a job as most humans would.
