Glavine Returning to Atlanta?
I read an article yesterday that said the only team Glavine is interested in pitching for next season is the Braves and that he would even take a considerable pay decrease to do so. Even though he's nearing the end of his career, as a lifelong Braves fan I can say that I would love to have Glavine back even if it is only for 1 year. The Braves desperately need a veteran pitcher in their rotation and the possibility of Smoltz, Hudson, and Glavine in the rotation next season sounds pretty good.Tags: None -

It would be great to see Glavine in a Braves uniform again for one last year. Who knows? He might be a better tutor for the younger pitchers then Roger McDowell.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Glavine Returning to Atlanta?
Please... Screw him... The response after he couldn't even get out of the first inning in what amounted to a playoff game against a sub-.500 team was ridiculous... Stuff like, "it's not the end of the world" and "I wouldn't do anything different...." WHAAAT?!?!? I'd drive him and his 300 wins to Atlanta myself.Comment

Re: Glavine Returning to Atlanta?
Granted Glavine has DEFINITELY fallen from his former success but to see him come back to Atlanta would be (I think) just what the Braves need. As we've seen our biggest problem is our 3-5 pitchers (4-5 depending on if we catch Chuck James on a good day) and Glavine would bring a decent experienced starter to round out the rotation. I would rather Glavine suck it up compared to having 4 different pitchers suck it up before we send them down for a new rookie.Comment
