how to advance runners?
Do you press the base the guy is on, or the base you want him to go to? I know the left and right triggers advance all runners. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: how to advance runners?
You press the base that the guy is on (according to past versions of ASB). I don't yet own the game so you cant take my word for it. -

You press the base the guy is at to advance. It took me a little time to get the baserunning down but now I'm there. Let's say for example you have guys on first and second and there's a single if you want to send the guy from second home without sending the rest of the runners anywhere press the D pad towards 3rd base and press the left trigger. The runner from 3rd will go home but the guy at first will stay put.Comment

The base running still has problems they just dont respond fast enough

WSB has the same problem last year. You'd hit a ball to SS w/ a runner on 3rd and try to advance him home. However, the computer would automatically dive back to 3rd and your runner would not attempt to advance home until after the out is recorded at 1st. By this time, you're dead meat and caught in a rundown.New England Patriots

Re: how to advance runners?
The XBox manual mentions using Y and the base the runner is on to advance, but it has serious issues - like it works rarely.
Best bet? Do the same using R instead - it works.Comment
