I know what you're saying, brendan. I, too, agree that in a baseball game you should be able to see and catch up to the pitches. I was just making it clear that having quick reflexes is a skill.

Sorry if I upset you man. Nothing personal.

It may not be fun, but it certainly is real.

So first the hitting is too easy, now it is too hard.

What in the world will people complain about next year?

I am glad they put in a hitting model that asked for more than just tapping a button at any time to get a hit.

Practice and get better or wait for another game.

It seems to me that you don't really like the game anyway. You keep complaining about it's "problematic" hitting model.

Just because you can't hit, doesn't mean it's broken.

            Re: Frustrations abound

I'm not upset, I was just fearful I was venting my frustrations to a possible fanboy - a battle i would like to avoid. No hard feelings I hope, considering it did sound like I had a stick up my bum.

Yeah, reflexes are a definite skill. It's how guys like Ramirez(Manny) can always keep his hands inside the ball.

But when it comes to viedeo games, I don't want some scrub mowing me down like Koufax because I'm too slow. Hey, maybe for others they enjoy the challenge.

But for me, I'm furstrated. I play some easy batting and report back - I'm hoping it isn't as offense happy as last year.

brendan, in no way am I attacking you, or using only you as an example, but I don't understand how some of the same people who praise HH for it's realism, are the same ones complaining about ASB's reality of pitch speeds. If you are new to the franchise, then give it more time. Trust me, you'll get it. I've been buying ASB every year since the N64 days. And every year I start out unable to hit anything. But after a dozen or so games, I get my timing down. You will to. Have fun.

                        That was jumping on someone??

Jeez. All I said was it is real and he may not be good at hitting. I meant no disrespect, I just thought it was a weird arguement.

If the guy in question wasn't offended, why would you be?

                                Fine. Whatever.

                                I will just say this.

Practice hitting more before attacking the hitting model.

Everyone here has said that it takes time to get used to it, so try to give it time before summarily dismissing it.

Many of us would prefer this hitting model to the twitch hitting of some of the other games.

Honestly, you may be a person that finds this model to be unlikable. Nothing wrong with that. That is why we should be happy we get 4 baseball games this year. There is something out there for eveyone.

I just think you need to work with it a while longer before blaming the game and saying it is flawed.

Constructive and exactly what I said before.

                                Any better?
